Purchased a home that has these windows and doors. Nightmare.

Took a year and half to get anyone to service the doors. Jeld Wen sent me parts but no one within 75/100 miles will work on them. Nightmare. You’re outside service warranty they say and we aren’t servicing..convenience.

I have been harassed by their customer reps, hung up on, no calls back, this company is obviously in it for money as there is no ongoing service or responsibilities for servicing their products that warranty parts for life which is great but if no one will work on them what is the point. They hide behind long lines of waiting, calling, getting back to you and their law department that basically says we will not be accountable. This company is an absolute nightmare.

Do your research on this company and their tactics for service before you consider dumping your time and money into this company. Nightmare.

Requested a floor lock for my sliding double door only to be advised they do not have.......Discontinued.... I guess you get what you pay for.... wood doors rotting away at floor. No more weld jen for me.and I can not find the door attachment floor lock anywhere"""

No More Quality Control

I purchased a custom made window with a large fixed center window and an operating window on each side (double hung). The first window that I received was 98 inches wide in the center and where it was fusion welded at the top and bottom rail it measured 97 5/8s inches. I contacted JELD-WEN and a month and a half later received a replacement unit. Before it was unloaded I checked to make sure the window was all 98 inches as ordered. While installing it the operating window on one side just didn't look right and I was having problems squaring up the frame. I removed the operating windows and was able to square everything. I then reinstalled the operating windows and couldn't open and close them without them binding. I put a framing square on the sashes only to find out that the sashes were 3/8s of an inch out of square on one side. Now I am no rookie in the building trades I have over 45 years in. I have used JELD-WEN for years but the last 5 years they have gone to *** How does anything like that even leave the factory ? My suggestion to all the "Big Box" stores that carry JELD-WEN is to get rid of them and stock something else.

PURCHASED WIDOWS FOR MY ADDITION IN 2003. WARRANTY WAS 20 YEARS. ONLY 16 YEARS IN AND THE WINDOWS HAVE MOISTURE IN BETWEEN THE PANES. THEY ASKED ME IF I HAD THE ORIGINAL RECEIPT AS WE DID THEN WAS TOLD THEY SOLD OFF THE COMPANY THAT PRODUCED MY WINDOWS AND THAT THE WARRANTY WAS ONLY 10 YEARS.

I had a great slider and screen on my patio deck. After 2017 storm in S C my ins and insurance contractor installed a JEN-Weld UGH HORRIBLE screen slider. Wheels on slider cannot be found at any Lowe’s or Hone Depot. Worst design to change wheels Jumps track constantly because we can’t FIND replacement wheels. We are beyond frustrated. We had our other doors prior to the storm 20 years. Easily available replacement wheels.. pop right in. It’s unacceptable to sell doors with no replacement parts available. Patricia P.

No respect for customer - can make windows properly

lousy customer service - one rep for all of Florida - makes you wait a month then wants a tech to look also and repair brand new window. Over my dead body. Want our money back.

Almost 2 months of Florida room furniture piled into living room and crooked windows cramping space in our garage - one set of short sliders installed perfectly level but visible damage during transportation makes it very difficult to slide open without using both hands . Made us wait 3 weeks - sent a rep who took photos and more photos last Friday - who saw the inconvenience we are going through with no protection for our 24 foot wide Florida room = they now want to send a 'tech' to see if their brand new window with a dented frame can be 'repaired' while we still have 7 big crooked sliders in our garage not installed waiting for a new set of properly made big fixed picture windows.
My hubby paid in advance so these *** have our money but they haven't heard the last from me.

We bought them from Home Depot who is trying to help us but this is disgraceful customer service. I am going to demand Home Depot refund my husband's precious money to these pigs

Ordered Jeld wen door with side glass on August 19, 2018. Door arrived in about 5 weeks as promised. Took two weeks for my install guy to be free from other work. He took out my old door, then opened the packaging to notice the side glass was on the wrong side. He reinstalled my original door $375.00 install charge. Home depot was great.. ordered new door. It arrived around end of November. AGAIN, my guy removes my original 30 year old door and installs the 2ND jeld wen door. Once installed he noticed staples sticking out from the door causing weather stripping to be loose. This time we kept the Jeld Wen door installed, another $375 bucks to my guy,..reordered just the slab the 3rd time to make it easier on Jeld Wen. Door came in January. The expreso colored stain was not even close to the frame and the top hinge was so crooked the door would not close correctly.Install charge for just the door this time $150. Reodered a 4th door. It arrived on the 6th of April. Not installed yet but looks fine to my non-professional eye..This will most likely be another 375 bucks. $1,250 to do all this uninstall and reinstall work and here's the best part...Jeld Wen managed to give me a credit of $460 on my Visa. HIP HIP HURRAY TO JELD WEN.. Is it possible to give zero stars? Not to mention. the original purchase was $2,000. I've heard I,m not the only person having issues with Jeld Wen. BUYER BEEARE!!!

Company totally changed

I had ordered two interior doors and FIVE times they were incorrectly measured and poorly constructed. This started February and we are STILL WAITING for properly constructed and corrected measured doors. Maybe the 6th time they’ll get it right.

Simple request for missing door sweep unanswered

We custom ordered a JELD-WEN door in April with delivery scheduled for mid-May. Our contractor opened the door for installation on May 25 and discovered no sweep for the door bottom. We were also rebuilding from Hurricane Michael and the stress level was high. Having a new door was great but a 1/2" gap at the bottom was NOT good. Waiting until Tuesday, May 28 to contact JELD-WEN, I received a response with a 'claim #' Follow-up with Kendra, asking and providing more evidentiary support was on May 29, 10:56am. I have never heard back from them. I've tried 3 times to reach their "Customer Care" line, only to be on hold or transferred 15-25 minutes per call. WARNING - Nice product, LOUSY, *** Service. Custom ordered 6’6” doors and they sent 6’8”. When reordered took 2 months to come and doors were damaged so now have to be reordered. Initially ordered in March. Paid for in full in may and still no doors. Very disappointed.
