After having 5 Geldwen Pre-Hung steel exterior doors less than 5 years, they are rotting out in the wooden insert between the metal door panels and the jams are rotting. The wood seems to be pieced together since rotting pieces have falling off with straight edges..as small filler pieces glued together!

JUNK! JELDWEN basically told me "not their problem". Don't buy anything from this company and waste your money! Warranty & customer service SUCKS!They are like the commercial where they guy says "NO NO NO!" Now $1000 plus wasted, I have to replace all the doors and jams with ZERO help from Geldwen.

BUYER BEWARE OF THE *** THEY SELL! Like burning $$$$ buying Geldwen products!!!!

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Same here. Just told me it was my fault.

Lowes won't do anything, Reliabilt by Jeld Wen won't do anything and UTS Warranty won't do anything.

Waste of money. They should be ashamed of themselves!

Folks, beware of people that post like this. Finger-jointed jambs are stronger than a solid piece.

They come primed, you MUST paint them and continue to paint them over the years to protect the wood. You didn't, they denied your claim. I'm guessing you never painted the primed steel either? READ YOUR WARRANTY.

Also, when trying to place the blame on the manufacturer, at least spell their name correctly. I'm guessing, at the $1,000 you say you're out, that you bought 5 prehung doors from Home Depot or something like that for about $200 each. Cheap, primed doors that you were too lazy to maintain.

Sorry, it's your fault. Warranty plainly states how long you have to paint the door and jamb.
