2.5 years ago I had Jeld-wen 16 siteline window units installed as part of a remodel. Two of the windows leaked and one of the smaller units was repaired by the sales rep.
One of the large picture windows (6'x6' with attached casements) we installed has continued to leak each time it rains and it is rotting and staining the inside sash. The contractor took 2 years to finish the job and thought they had fixed the leak on the picture window. Turns out they had not and I contacted Jeld-wen customer service in March of 2020. They were initially very helpful and asked for more info offering to send someone out to review the issue.
Well in about June they said the warranty for labor had expired and they could send out some parts. It is now September and they will not respond to any emails for support.
We spent over 20K on windows one of which is going to be totally ruined soon. We have not even painted the interior of the window yet because that would be a waste at this point with the water intrusion.
User's recommendation: Really do your research and test early to identify issues because they will not help later in the warranty.
