They were very helpful and are working to resolve my issue. The lady who answered was knowledgeable and got me to right department.
Beth in warranty was also pleasant and helpful. Only complaint was how hard it was to get the number.

I purchased a JELD-WEN 72-in x 80-in x 4-9/16-in Jamb Low-e Blinds Between The Glass Primed Fiberglass French Right-Hand Inswing Double Patio Door with Brickmould included. Item #257**** | Model #JW23500****.
On July 3, 2024, after the door was installed, it had large gaps and was slightly bowed. The door was warped, or whatever. It was defective. I couldn't take it back to Lowes, as it was a heavy door.
The door was not cheap.
I have pictures where we put a level against it and, after adjusting the door, we finally managed to not see daylight. However, when the door is closed, there is still a gap.

Kudos to the clown in the suit that got a $100,000 bonus for shaving 89 cents off the price of a door by replacing the jamb with particle board. I mean dont you people have ANY Pride in the products you sell in your own damn country? My advice, replace the door jamb with solid wood before installing.

Bought four wood windows cannot work with them because of design will not accept storm window interior will not accept trim/casing was blamed for hitting it with nail gun the spring system inside is in the way for nailing of trim. Was blamed for shooting a nail into it.
Show them the bad craftsmanship of the window and still cannot put casing on interior.
Weather stripping falls out when you push open the windows installed both defective. Mark Dion was handling this district manager blown me off did not send someone to fix hardware inside jam as promised.
Pissed off.

I have been in need of an exchange or return on an item that does not fit. Zero help.
You keep sending me to the sourcing group, yet all the logo, phone, and email on the invoice are directed to your company directly. I will escalate this issue further, and note, it's not about the money, but the client services are pathetic.
Nine emails, twelve phone calls, five faxes. Order# 129**** made on 05/06/2024, ref # 158042.

I used to work for Jeld-Wen and they overall treat their employees terribly. The leads are treated like hamsters on a wheel to do all the work for management because they are too lazy to leave the comfort of their offices to do any real work.
The management in the Bend, Oregon plant are sexist, they make concessions for all male employees when they are injured for whatever reason, we for the women they are told to come back when they have no restrictions whatsoever.
As there products are concerned they managers YELL at the leads and employees to get orders done and half the time dont care if they come out looking like crap as long is it isnt super obvious. If you receive any veneered product there is a huge change under the veneer it is damaged while in the mean time will cause wear and tear and will need to be replaced. Over there at Jeld-Wen its quantity over quality.
Overall that plant really needs to take a personal inventory and maybe start over with new management that can acclimate to new policies and treat their employees with dignity.
As well as they allow people to do hard drugs in the bathrooms. Leaving blood, and drug paraphernalia on the counters and the leads are expected to clean it up time after time and their is no punishment or investigation on who is doing it.
Preferred solution: For corporate to come to the plant and realize how they treat their employees!

Delays, refusal to take responsibilty, failure to honor warranty, no response, FAULTY POOR QUALITY PRODUCT
Hello,
I have requested several times to speak with a manager at your customer care line and have never received a call.
We purchased $80,000 of windows for our home, $10,000 for our second home and $20,000 for my business over the past few years. We own a jewelry store and was scheduled to open May 2022.
Ee had a complete remodel and every supplier came through as promised except Jeld -Wen. There was delay after delay.
After months of broken promises regarding delivery, delaying the opening of our store, we received the doors and windows. One of the large windows (approx 4.5k) arrived broken. It took an additional 5 months to replace it!
It arrived in November of 2022, close to a year after our original order. This cost us 5 months of salaries and rent for a business we could not open without a window!
When the replacement window arrived it was damaged! There was a small crack in it. We couldnt wait to open our store so we let it go hoping the crack would stay small and unnoticeable.
The crack eventually grew so large it was inevitable that we had to replace the window. We began to work with Home Depot for a replacement. They were slow and incompetent so we finally placed a claim directly with Jeld-Wen in September of 2022 - 10 months after we received the window.
Our warranty claim was denied claiming that although a stress crack was covered, it exceeded the 12 month warranty???
The window was delivered (after 3 delays) in November 2022. The claim
Was placed in September of 2022.
That is 10 months.
Jeld-Wen caused us severe financial hardship with their constant delays of our shipment. We had to open our store 5 months late! We paid salaries and rent for 5 months only to receive a SECOND damaged window! And now your company is refusing to honor the warranty on damaged goods!
I need someone to call me and to honor the warranty for your defective window.
We have been loyal customers and deserve to be treated fairly. Jeld-wen has caused us enough financial hardship. We are a small minority/woman owned business and it is below all thresholds of dignity to have treated us so unfairly.
When can we expect a response from a manager or director ?
I will not speak to a customer service agent. Your company will be horrified when they see the condescending non- sensical communication I received from them.

This company sent broken windows to us not once but twice and I couldnt sell or rent out my property. Lost over $7000.00 in rent for 8 weeks delays and the company offers $70.00 for the inconvenience. And they still havent finished the project

I worked at first on the glass line that manufactured the carclad line, heritage line, geometric line, picture line and briefly when we assembled tempered glass units. Hand to God if you bought a caradco part of the Jeld-Wen family later rebranded Jeld-Wen across the board for all facilities.
If you bought a window in the early 2000's there's a real good chance there's no argon gas in your low efficiency Windows all that money you thought you were saving having low energy Windows I hate to tell you, you were probably not getting it. I've notified the CEO's of Menards and Home Depot already.

Bad quality windows
Windows have been leaking and forming ice on inside from early on. Came out and put weather stripping.
No better. We bought one year old house with jeld wen windows. Came out again in 2020 and same problem. Bad seal.
Called and now they say we were not the original owners. 10 yr. Warranty.
We moved in 2014. Windows have been bad from the get go

Installed a vinyl patio door this spring. Early summer noticed that the seals on both doors failed.
Contacted customer support in July. Was told they would order glass and install. Delay, delay, delay, after delay. Was told for the third time there was a problem with ordering, and will have to be re-ordered.
It is now October 8th. Saying it wont be until November now.
I should have went with Pella Or Anderson. Im asking for a refund and will purchase from one of the above.

Standard window doesn't fit opening
I purchased 2 Jeld Wen standard new construction windows from Menards. The windows are narrow and do not include a jamb extension to fit a standard 2x4 wall opening which is 4 9/16 inches.
What a bunch of garbage... a standard window don't fit a standard wall opening ? I was told just build your own jamb extensions. Why are they not included...
because they have to be special ordered and add 60 bucks to each window. I should have gone Anderson.

Finally talked to someone in Canada. Not his area but he passed it on.
Later received an email from the warranty department. They provided a link to a generice page about Tax Credits for Energy-Efficient Products from "2016" As my question was very specific it didn't answer it. I had asked what the Energy Star rating was a the product I bought.
This should not be a hard question. I like the door but support is a pisser.
Please tell me the Energy Star Rating for the door we purchased at Home Depot to see if we can claim the IRS tax credit.

Trying to figure out how I can get these terrible windows replaced. They just keep sending me more defective windows and expect me to pay for the labor.
